LOCATION<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

My counselling room is\nbased between Thame and Long Crendon on the Oxfordshire\/Buckinghamshire\nborder.  There is ample parking and a ground floor room for clients that\nrequire level access. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

FEES<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

I work with long term\nand short term clients, each session lasts for 1 hour and the fee is \u00a345 per\nsession.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

On\nmaking contact I invite you to attend an initial assessment session to explain\nthe counselling service and agree our contract for working together. We record\nkey parts of your history and make time to establish if this is the correct\nservice for you and consider what you feel about working with me. We will\nhave up to 1 hour for the assessment process and the fee is \u00a325.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

You\nmay then choose a few sessions to talk through something in particular or\nprefer to attend sessions on a regular basis.  <\/p>\n\n\n\n

I\nbelieve in making counselling as accessible to all as I am able to and with\nthis in mind I have a few places that I can offer at a reduced rate per\nsession, please contact me for details.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

CANCELLATION\nPOLICY<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Cancellations of session with less\nthan 24 hours notice will incur half the fee.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

CONFIDENTIALITY<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

The\ncontent of our counselling sessions are confidential unless there are serious\nconcerns that there is a risk to your safety or the safety of others.  It is important that you are aware of the\nlegal and ethical boundaries of counselling. \nIf necessary I would be obliged to make contact with your GP or other\nrelevant professional.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

NOTES & RECORD KEEPING<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

All\ncounsellors are required to keep brief relevant notes.  These will not be kept on computer and will\nbe stored in line with GDPR.  They will\nbe kept for 3 years after which they will be confidentially shredded.  You have the right to access your records and\ncan do this by contacting me.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

If you\nhave any concerns about therapy please discuss them with me.  Alternatively please contact the BACP, the\nbody responsible for issues of professional conduct. www.bacp.co.uk<\/a>.
