{"id":3,"date":"2019-10-01T13:50:47","date_gmt":"2019-10-01T12:50:47","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/t4ucounselling.com\/?page_id=3"},"modified":"2019-11-27T10:11:37","modified_gmt":"2019-11-27T10:11:37","slug":"privacy-policy","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/t4ucounselling.com\/index.php\/privacy-policy\/","title":{"rendered":"Privacy Policy"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p><strong>Data\nProtection Policy Statement \u2013 updated in Line with GDPR<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul><li>Nikki Jackson (known as the therapist) is registered with the Information Commissioners Office and will remain so. <\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<ul><li>I give permission to the therapist\nto keep a record of any personal information (known as \u201cSpecial category data\u201d)\nas well as any other data that is relevant to the purpose of counselling,\ntherapy or associated services offered.<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<ul><li>The Therapist is required by\nprofessional standards to have a professional clinical supervisor for work. No\nidentifiable information is shared with the Supervisor. Both the Therapist and his\nSupervisor are both members of a Professional Association with an enforceable\ncode of ethics.<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<ul><li>In the event of your therapist\u2019s death, or incapacity, your therapist will have written a \u2018Clinical Will\u2019 which will let a Clinical Executor have access to basic contact information to tell you what has happened. The Clinical Executor does not have access to your case notes, which will be securely destroyed. <\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>There are circumstances when the law requires that&nbsp;I breach our confidentiality agreement to:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul><li>Prevent a death<\/li><li>Safeguard children or vulnerable persons when abuse is suspected \u2013 The Children\u2019s Act<\/li><li>Prevent of assist in the detection of crime including the Prevention of Terrorism Act<\/li><li>To honour the requests of HM Courts<\/li><li>Acts of money laundering<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><br><strong>The Therapist will store their records as follows:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>1. normally three years from the end of working with you<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>2. this may be longer if you and your therapist both agree &#8211; if so your therapist will ask you to sign a new consent form<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>3.
